Event Description

Most people really do not want to feel like suckers, and they will go way (way, way) out of their way to avoid it. Tess Wilkinson-Ryan, a professor of contract law and author of the book Fool Proof, will host a discussion of the social science of suckers. Which transactions feel like cons and which ones feel like business as usual? Who gets pegged as suckers and who gets lauded as saints? We will rethink psychology experiments, legal cases, and even traffic laws in light of the surprisingly potent dread of feeling played for a fool.

This preceptorial is In-Person (Location will be emailed to those who register).
