2026 Second-Year Orientation (SYO)

Second-Year Orientation (SYO) is a way for returning students to again be introduced to the amazing clubs, activities, and resources Penn has to offer, while also having fun with friends and fellow classmates.

This year’s SYO will bring the Class of 2029 together to explore intellectual and cultural spaces, both on campus and throughout Philadelphia. SYO will take place from August 23–28. Please stay tuned for more information regarding the SYO schedule.

We also encourage second-year students to take full advantage of the programs and opportunities offered by our office during the academic years as well, including the Second-Year Experience (SYE) Grant, and the Penn Mentor Meals.
