Second-Year Orientation (SYO) Events
Second-Year Orientation and Second-Year Day
This year, second-year students had their own events running from Sunday, August 27 to Thursday, August 31. Second-Year Orientation is a way for returning students to again be introduced to the amazing clubs, activities, and resources Penn has to offer, while also having fun with your friends and fellow classmates! On Saturday, August 26 and Sunday, August 27, second-year students were able to attend preceptorials! Preceptorials are lectures on specific topics led by Penn faculty, teaching staff, and student groups which will introduce students to the intellectual and cultural resources of the University.

PennTracks Tours are free guided tours led by our PHINS student leaders throughout the city of Philadelphia. Second-year students joined the tours on Saturday, August 26 and Sunday, August 27 for the discovery of Food Trucks, Stadium District, and so many more places in the area surrounding Penn!

On Sunday, August 27, Second-Year students were invited to enjoy a dessert reception at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts (PAFA)! Every year, we will invite second-year students to join us for a night of dancing, take a look at various exhibits from the United States’ first art museum & school, and delicious desserts!
