OWN IT: Empowering the Next Generation of Leaders

Event Description

OWN IT Penn is a Women’s Empowerment on-campus organization that aims to bridge the gap between female leaders and the young women who admire them. We want to raise awareness of women’s challenges in the workplace by hosting a diverse and accessible summit for college-aged students and empowering young women through leadership. The theme of the 2022 seventh annual summit was resilience. Speakers included Helen Gym, a Philadelphia mayoral candidate, Jami McKeon, Chair of Morgan Lewis, Kathleen Buhle, an American writer and non-profit executive, Charisse Lillie, Chief Executive Officer CRL Consulting, LLC, and Miriam Haart, a 22-year-old entrepreneur and the star of the Netflix series My Unorthodox Life.
