Shea Collective Self Care Drive

Event Description

Every semester, PennDAAP hosts a self-care drive as part of our community service mission. The drive involves having donation boxes at various college houses and affinity spaces, including Makuu, Dubois, and the Penn Women’s Center, for students, faculty, and other members of the Penn community to donate self-care products such as feminine sanctuary products and toiletries.

These items, along with cash donations, are then given to our Philadelphia Community Service partner, the Spot, to distribute to the less fortunate in the community. The Spot is a community service-oriented organization whose mission is to combat period disparity in Philadelphia. At this event, we plan to assemble the donated items, along with items acquired from grant funding, into goodie bags with positive messages to give to the Spot.
