Event Description

Perry World House (PWH) serves as Penn’s hub for global policy engagement. PWH helps to prepare students to be well-informed, engaged global citizens by providing them with opportunities to interact directly with policymakers and global leaders through our events, coffee chats, and student engagement programs such as the Graduate Fellows and World House Student Fellows. PWH prides itself on collaborating with all twelve schools at Penn, and new students are encouraged to learn more about our interdisciplinary work.

To discuss Perry World House, its role in the global community, and how students can get involved, we will be joined by Marie Harf, PWH executive director, and John Macri, PWH student programs coordinator. Marie brings deep expertise in foreign policy (including in the Middle East) and public affairs from her experience in government and media, while John oversees student engagement opportunities at PWH, including fellowships and academic programming. Together, they will share insights into how PWH connects Penn students with real-world policy issues and global leaders.

This conversation will also include discussion of our new World House Student Associates Program, an exciting addition to our student engagement portfolio that will offer even more opportunities for students to participate in the global policy conversation at Penn. This program will provide access to PWH visiting fellows and experts, as well as include a monthly seminar for students to deepen their understanding of global policy engagement.
