2025 New Student Orientation (NSO)
Hello Class of 2029, welcome to Penn!
Our office is committed to making your transition to Penn smooth, educational, and fun. The 2025 NSO schedule will include academic programs as well as cultural and social events that explore Penn, Philadelphia, and much more. In collaboration with our campus partners, NSO 2025 will run from Wednesday, August 20 to Monday, August 25. The specific population programming for International, Transfer, Exchange/IGSP, and First Generation and/or Limited Income (FGLI) students will occur from Monday, August 18 through Wednesday, August 20.
We hope NSO will lay the foundation for your time at Penn, and we look forward to seeing you on campus. Wishing you all the best of luck as you begin your Penn experience!

2024 NSO Highlights
NSO 2024 offered 266 events in total, including 8 mandatory events, and 76 specific-population events. In addition, Penn Spirit Day was added to the calendar this year to celebrate Penn’s traditions and build the sense of belonging for new students, which consisted of 5 highlight events throughout the day: Welcome to Penn, Class Photo, Building Penn Community, Highball to Hey Day, and An Evening at the National Constitution Center.
